Backed by angel investors
Berlin-headquartered, female-founded pleasure company Nomad Brands GmbH (brand name nudco) has landed an undisclosed pre-seed funding from Nordic angel investors.
The global sexual wellness market was estimated at 3b€ in 2019 and is expected to grow at a rate of above 6% yearly. At the same time, the market is experiencing a growing shift toward female-centric products. According to the company's own market research in Europe, 58% of women still struggle to find suitable sex products.
To overcome this challenge, nudco offers pleasure care products that are specifically designed for the female body. This is achieved with bringing to the market high-quality, functional, and 100% natural intimate and personal care products that have a minimalistic and pure formulation made of oats and other intimate health boosting superfoods.
Paving the way for sexual liberation
With the launch in Summer 2021, nudco sets to be one of the fastest growing female sexual wellness companies in Europe with a presence currently in Germany. The direct-to-consumer e-commerce brand will have strong focus in digital marketing efforts, mainly social media and influencers. The financing will be used to kickstart operations and growth efforts in full speed in Europe.
Already since the company's founding in late 2020, nudco has been working closely with selected, trusted partners in Europe to formulate and develop its innovative and unique products.
Co-founded by CEO Minna Hurmerinta and CCO Krista Lindholm, nudco – according to its philosophy of building 'the nude community' – wants to liberate female pleasure and turn intimate wellness to an everyday conversation topic. The nude community consists of the company's fans and brand enthusiasts.
